"Call For Papers 2025"

The Criminology, Victimology and Security Journal has opened the Call For Papers intended for publication in the Special Issue - Year 19, January-December 2025, which will be dedicated to commemorating the sociologist Howard S. Becker.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is October 10 and for articles is November 20.

On May 27, 2025, the commemorative conference for the 125th anniversary of his birth was held, an event sponsored by the S.I.V. with the speech "Victimology as an autonomous discipline, the role of S.I.V. in Italy" by the President.

On the day April 4, 2025 at the University of the Republic of San Marino, the conference "Suicide and Violence" will be held, an event sponsored by the Italian Society of Victimology with a presentation by the President of S.I.V., Dr. Luca Cimino, on the topic of suicide and victimization.

First-Level Master’s Program

"Criminal Mediator Expert in Restorative Justice Programs"

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the C.I.R.Vi.S. at the University of Bologna, sponsored by the Italian Society of Victimology, together with the Department of Studies for the Economy and Enterprise at the University of Eastern Piedmont, established the first-level master’s program.
