The Journal
Review
The Criminology, Victimology, and Security Journal (RCVS) ensures the scientific quality of each published issue through a two-stage evaluation process.
In the first stage, a member of the editorial board verifies that the submission complies with the editorial guidelines.
Subsequently, the editorial management assigns the manuscript anonymously to two expert reviewers (blind peer-review), selected based on their specific expertise in the subject matter. Reviewers are invited to provide their assessments using the available referee form (referee form) and adhering to the criteria set by the Coordination of Italian Sociology Journals (CRIS).
The evaluation process generally takes approximately eight weeks from the date of manuscript receipt. At the end of the process, authors will receive the reviewers’ feedback, including in case of rejection, and, if necessary, requests for revisions to the submitted work.
RCVS also publishes editorials, commentaries, and book reviews, for which the Editorial Management directly assumes responsibility for the evaluation.
